The LGBT community in India have always fought for their existence and acceptance in society. We at ShaadiWish wanted to celebrate true love and give a voice and expression to the members of this community. And, hence we came up with this amazing idea of LGBT photoshoot which won millions of hearts. This photoshoot gave us an opportunity to understand the people of LGBT community which was enriching and inspiring.
Straight or gay, we all have a desire to be deeply known and yet often fear that some private flaw makes us ultimately unlovable. From the desire to seek true love, which accepts them as they are to their endless efforts to earn respect and freedom of speech, these same-sex people have shared a few things about establishing and maintaining relationships and enjoy life as is.
Apart from conceptualizing a heart-warming LGBT photoshoot for our winners Suryatapa, Akriti and Gagan, we wanted to be their voice and spread their message to everyone!
So, here we are sharing life and love lessons we learned from the LGBT community during our exclusive photoshoot with them:
We can’t thank our partners enough who came forward to support our initiative and made this magic happen. Baar Baar Delhi is an amazing venue which offered us with perfect backdrops and ambiance for the photoshoot. The very talented Vidya Tikari and the team gave a stunning makeover to the participants. Further, they were styled in bespoke outfits by Pankaj and Nidhi and Siddartha Tytler.
