Last year the big fat Indian wedding underwent a major change and ushered in a new era of small intimate weddings. Even with a lot of restrictions imposed, love conquered and we saw a lot of cute weddings in 2020. The face of Indian weddings changed from grand 500 people weddings to 50 people weddings,from extravagant wedding decor to home backyard decor, from luxurious wedding favors to DIY wedding favors and from grand wedding feast to home cooked wedding food. This year we welcomed masks and sanitizers to our wedding world and from a necessity they also turned into a fashion statement. All of the lockdown weddings were special in their own way.

This year we saw a lot of celebrity weddings. 2020 ended with Gauahar Khan’s wedding, from her chiksa ceremony to her wedding reception she looked like a million bucks.

They had a Sikh wedding at the bride’s house and everything was done at home from DIY decor to even the couple’s wedding outfits which were designed by the bride’s mother who is a fashion designer.

Bloggers inspire us in a gazillion ways, Surbhi Sethi’s wedding was one hell of an affair.

We couldn’t stop crushing on Deepika’s home wedding. Their wedding was planned in Thailand but fate had other plans for them because of the coronavirus outbreak they decided to get married in Deepika’s Nani’s home. Isn’t that adorable?
