Wedding Designer’s Intimate Destination Wedding In Kasauli

Rahul and Ashima’s destination wedding in Kasauli was a gorgeous three-day-long celebration. The two were introduced to each other through their common friends. And due to the pandemic, they both took their sweet time getting to know each other well before the wedding. It turns out that they both ended up falling in love with each other. But their wedding planning was not as dreamy as their love story. After being postponed twice due to COVID-19, their wedding venue was destroyed in a landslide two weeks before the wedding.

But thanks to Ashima being a wedding designer herself, she put her faith in her vendors who stuck around through all the ups and downs. She shares that the vendors became her pillars through all the planning process. And they finalized ITC Fortune Select Forest Hill in Kasauli as their wedding venue. Kasauli being a hill station, they all kept a track of the weather forecast for two weeks to prepare for the rain. And to their surprise, all their wedding functions had bright and sunny weather throughout.

1. Mehendi Ceremony

Rahul and Ashima’s mehendi ceremony was totally adorable. Ashima wore a one-shoulder pink tie-dyed outfit with soft-hued makeup and looked too cute to handle. Whereas Rahul looked handsome as ever in a pastel achkan. Rahul even got cute little mehendi designs on his palms.

2. Bright & Cheerful Haldi Celebration

The haldi celebration took place in an open setting with scenic hill views in the surroundings. Ashima was surrounded by her lovely family all dressed in matching yellow attires to celebrate the occasion.

3. Cocktail/Engagement Night

We loved Ashima’s deep blue blingy gown with gorgeous detailing that she chose for her engagement night. Rahul was also dressed in a matching deep blue tuxedo set. Ashima’s smoky eye look was perfect for the nighttime event and we loved the addition of minimal diamond accessories.

4. Jaimala Ceremony

For their Jaimala ceremony, the duo killed it with their wedding looks. Rahul wore a custom-made beige-gold sherwani with a groom’s shawl. He looked absolutely dashing in his groom attire. While Ashima was dressed in a beautiful red lehenga with fringe dupatta paired with pearl-drop jewelry pieces. The duo looked stunning together.
