Virtual weddings are becoming the latest craze among the couples, thanks to worldwide Coronavirus lockdown and social distancing guidelines. Taking the help of social media and online apps, couples are celebrating their weddings virtually with friends and family being a part of their ceremony from their homes.
Well, imagine meeting your soulmate on one app and getting married to them on another. While the protagonists of this modern fairy tale may not have planned it so, destiny sure did. Meet Miykaelah Rajmani Sinclair and Sai who met on the dating app-Hinge. They decided to meet at a wine bar in Brooklyn, NYC for their first date.
The couple recently decided to tie the knot in a virtual wedding ceremony on Zoom and it was absolutely awwdorable!
How Was Their Proposal?
Sai went to India in June 2019 to tell his family about his intention to marry Miykaelah. He then asked her parents for their permission. On September 9, 2019, Sai proposed to Miykaelah while they were looking at the stars on a private Island in Hawaii.
Sai And Miykaelah’s Virtual Wedding
The couple was supposed to have a Vedic ceremony on April 26th, as it was an auspicious date. However, due to COVID-19 their plans of getting married were threatened. But, their desire of uniting with each other was stronger than the global pandemic. Amidst this chaos, the couple managed to host a virtual wedding on Zoom where their friends and family joined them from different parts of the world.
Lakshmi & Vishnu pujas were offered to the couple from India. Miykaelah met Sai’s parents on FaceTime. When their families and close friends joined them, they played a pre-recorded video of the bride and her friends singing “Bhagyada Lakshmi Baramma.” After reading their wedding vows, the couple exchanged garlands to officiate their wedding.
