Yes, you read it right…Noida Metro Rail Corporation has just announced that its metro coaches are now available for hosting a birthday party or a pre wedding shoot!

Get ready for some exciting pre wedding celebration on the wheels as Noida Metro has started an initiative allowing people to book individual Metro coaches for birthdays or pre-wedding celebrations. The booking will cost prices ranging from INR 5,000 to INR 10,000 per hour. Maximum 50 people including adults and children shall be allowed per coach for the event, NMRC said in a release.
- As per the policy, those wanting to rent the metro premises have to fill an application form at least 15 days in advance.
- While the moving coaches will be provided during operational hours, the static ones can be booked during non-operational hours from 11 pm to 2 am.
- People can book up to four coaches in a train.
- The applicants would be required to pay a refundable interest-free security deposit of INR 20,000 for the booking.
- The NMRC will give one centre table, dustbins and housekeeping staff along with supervisory staff.
Last but not the least, “The applicants at all times would be governed by the guidelines as prescribed under the policy regarding security check, loss or damage to the metro property, hampering of operational activities, conduct, consumption of alcohol or use of fire, gunfire and explosives and others etc,” the NMRC stated.
The idea of this initiative by Noida Metro is to become an accessible and attractive destination for entertainment avenues and celebrations. This will generate revenue for the metro authority through short term licensing of NMRC coaches and trains.
