The pre-wedding functions hosted by Ambani family from March 1-3 in Gujarat’s Jamnagar are expected to be traditional and grand. The festivities in Jamnagar are set to cost a staggering INR 12 Crore (£120 million), and the catering alone is rumored to cost INR 2 Crore (£20 million), as per a report by Daily Mail.

According to reports, a team of 21 chefs is being flown in for the lavish event. Over 2,500 dishes will be prepared over the course of the three-day event, with cuisines ranging from Thai, Japanese, Mexican, and Parsi. Over 70 items will be available for breakfast, over 200 for lunch, and over 275 for dinner. Midnight meals will be on offer from 12 am to 4 pm, with over 85 items on offer. Around 1,000 guests will be ferried to the venue on chartered flights. Sari drapers, stylists, and makeup artists will be available on location for the guests.

Barbadian pop and R&B singer Rihanna arrived in Jamnagar on 29 February, 2024. She arrived with her ‘massive’ 12-foot luggage for Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash. After the video went viral, Rihanna joked about the size of her luggage, commenting on a fan’s video, “The stage couldn’t fit in my carry-on.”
