The Cannes Film Festival 2023 kickstarted on May 16 and is all set to go on till May 27. It is one of the most prestigious film festivals celebrated across the world, the red carpet at Cannes is always star-studded. Every year, we witness a lot of A-listers from the film and fashion fraternity walking down the Cannes red carpet. And this year, the carpet witnessed not one but three debutants from the Bollywood world – Sara Ali Khan, Manushi Chillar, and Esha Gupta.

Sara Ali Khan Marked Her Debut Donning Abi Jani Sandeep Khosla
Sara Ali Khan made her Cannes debut on 16 May, 2023 by walking the red carpet wearing a lehenga by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She proudly showed off her “desi” roots as she attended the premiere of the opening film, the Louis XV period drama Jeanne du Barry, starring Johnny Depp, at the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
Sara opted for a traditional look for the Cannes and embraced the ethnic side, her lehenga was draped by Dolly Jain. The outfit featured a stunning pastel blouse with silver embellishment details and a plunging neckline. It was teamed up with a long and flowing lehenga which Sara paired with a long dupatta veil.
Esha Gupta Looked Stunning At The Cannes Red Carpet 2023
Esha Gupta looked like a dream in a white satin gown by Nicolas Jebran. It came with dramatic collars, cascading to a plunging neckline covered in see-through mesh details. The mesh also featured white floral embellishments that added to the femininity of the outfit. With wrap details at the waist, the white satin gown further cascaded to a long gown with mini pleats and a high slit in one side.
Esha wore her hair into a bun and decked up in nude eyeshadow, black eyeliner, mascara-laden eyelashes, drawn eyebrows, contoured cheeks and a shade of maroon lipstick.
Manushi Chhillar Turned Heads In A White Gown At Cannes 2023
Marking her debut at the Cannes 2023, Manushi Chhillar looked stunning as ever as she picked a white tulle gown. Manushi, representing Walkers and Co, a brand focused in providing the young and promising creators a global space, played muse to fashion designer house Fovari as she picked the stunning gown.
Manushi’s white gown came with off-shoulder details, corset details, a plunging neckline and a white tulle long train featuring frill details throughout. Manushi wore her tresses open in wavy curls with a middle part as she decked up in minimal makeup and let her ensemble do all the talking. She completed her look with a statement neck piece.
Besides Sara, Esha Gupta and Manushi Chhillar, this year Anushka Sharma will also make her Cannes debut as she will be honoring women in cinema along with Hollywood star Kate Winslet. Cannes regular Aishwarya Rai Bachchan left for the film festival with daughter Aaradhya. Madhur Bhandarkar, Mrunal Thakur, Aditi Rao Hydari, Masoom Minawala, Vijay Varma, Vignesh Shivan, Niharika NM, Ruhee Dosani, Ranveer Allahbadia and Dolly Singh are attending the event as well.
