The Year 2018 has been one hell of a year with a lot of big fat Indian weddings. And, while the world is still recovering from NickYanka, DeepVeer and Ambani’s extravagant wedding affair, a man from Pakistan got hitched in a simple and inexpensive wedding. His wedding story is all over the internet and we can’t stop admiring his wonderful initiative to host a budget wedding in the era of extravagant weddings.
The newlywed Rizwan Pehelwan shared his experience of organizing a simple wedding on Twitter and we can’t keep calm because this is absolutely unreal?!
He is surely setting some serious wedding goals as he says, “Guys Shaadi season hai so here’s my wedding story in a thread so you guys know that having apni marzi ki Shaadi is possible”.
He also shared his secret of how he managed to pull off 20,000 (Pakistani Rupees) wedding like a pro!
His wedding guest list just had 25 names which were his friends and parents. The wedding venue was his terrace. And, as a part of the wedding decor, his dad lit up a bunch of fairy lights. He further borrowed 25 chairs from the neighborhood election committee for the guests. The wedding menu included dishes like chicken tikka, seekh kabab, channa and paranthas. For desserts, they bought strawberries and ice cream. Last but not least, the couple wore a plain blue salwar kameez which were gifted to them by Rizwan’s mother and sister.
At last, Rizwan concluded his posts saying, “Big or small, all weddings should just be HAPPY”. And, we couldn’t agree more! We wish the couple a happy married life ahead!
