DeepVeer’s wedding took the internet by the storm as the couple took their wedding vows on 14th and 15th November 2018. DeepVeer wedding celebrations were larger than life and we are still not over it. The couple hosted a reception in Bangalore followed by three receptions in Mumbai. And, while their wedding celebration has finally come to its end, they have left behind some steal-worthy wedding trends. Because who said you have to be a celebrity like DeepVeer to have a wedding like this!

So, what are you waiting for? Here are some wonderful wedding trends that we think every couple should steal from DeepVeer’s wedding:

1. Get Married Twice!

This is the biggest wedding trend of the year 2018! Deepika Padukone is a South Indian while Ranveer Singh is a Sindhi. So, instead of getting married just once, the couple decided to get married twice and honour their respective cultures. They had a traditional Konkani wedding on 14th November, which was followed by an Anand Karaj on 15th November. So, if you and your partner belong to different cultures, then you can have two weddings just like DeepVeer’s wedding too!

2. Personalize Your Wedding Attire

We have seen a lot of brides flaunting their personalized latkans on their bridal lehenga and we love them. What Deepika did was very unexpected. While most of the brides think about incorporating their couple’s initials on their wedding attire, Deepika personalized hers by getting a beautiful blessing (Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava) stitched on her dupatta. This is one trend that will soon take over the world of bridal attire.

Did you notice Deepika flaunting that stack of kadas on her Konkan Wedding? Bangles are every bride’s essential part of jewellery. However, the fearless Deepika ditched away bridal bangles and instead, completed her overall bridal look with just kadas!

We haven’t seen many brides opting for smokey eyes on their wedding day. However, Deepika Padukone looked super gorgeous in those smokey eyes on both her weddings- Konkan and Sindhi. Indian brides love to dress up in red but we rarely see grooms in all-red attires. Red is a strong colour which is difficult to carry. This is one reason why grooms stay away from it. By wearing a red wedding attire, Ranveer has established that this would be the ‘it’ colour for grooms now.

7. Girls Holding The Phoolon ki Chaadar

We have seen so many brides walking down the aisle under a beautiful phoolon ki chadar. Traditionally, it is the brothers of the bride who hold the chadar above her head. They stand around her as her protectors. Deepika came to the venue under a phoolon ki chadar which was held over her by her bridesmaids. Also, did you notice that her Phoolon ki chadar wasn’t too over the top? It was just a matching piece of cloth/dupatta with that of Deepika’s outfit. This is the newest trend from DeepVeer’s wedding that we would love to witness more!

8. Everything Colour-Coordinated

DeepVeer’s Wedding was the most colour-coordinated wedding we have ever seen so far. Starting from their airport look when they were leaving for Italy to their first public appearance as a married couple, the two lovebirds wore the same colours on every occasion. You can too opt for colour coordinated wedding outfits to set #couplegoals! Even, DeepVeer’s families opted for colour coordinated theme. At DeepVeer’s Mumbai reception, Deepika’s family opted for white coloured outfits whereas Ranveer Singh’s family wore black coloured outfits.

9. Daytime Wedding Ceremonies For Perfect Pictures

When DeepVeer’s wedding pictures made their debut on the couple’s Instagram handles, the world skipped a beat. Their gorgeous attire and smiles dipped in love made us go weak on our knees. But, did you notice it was the shining sun who gave the couple picture perfect photographs? DeepVeer’s sun-kissed photographs truly prove that a day wedding is the newest trend of 2018!

They even served food on banana leaves after their Konkani wedding. Authenticity is one thing that is slowly slipping away from Indian weddings but Deepika and Ranveer have proved that it is the most important thing in everyone’s life.

The newest wedding trend in 2018 is a bride with a simple hairstyle and minimalistic makeup. Throughout DeepVeer’s wedding, we saw Deepika wearing a simple neat bun with nude makeup (except her smokey eyes) and we are absolutely loving her wedding looks!

While everyone cannot afford the venue that Deepika and Ranveer chose for their wedding, altering the menu is still in our hands.
