Karan Johar is one name that needs no introduction. Director, Producer, Writer, Actor, Talk Show Host and what not! When you start talking about his talents, this man seems to be too good to be true, isn’t it? Well, if your head nodded in a yes, there’s something more from this man that is sure to surprise you.
Karan Johar just launched his online polki jewellery line, Tyaani.com, and it is one of the must-haves for every girl this wedding season.
With the purpose of ‘reinventing tradition’, each piece of Tyaani jewellery line is handcrafted with genuine polki diamonds and 22-karat gold. The idea behind launching this line was to make jadau jewellery accessible to all, which is presently seen as a luxury.
That is the reason why The Tyaani collection, is quite light in weight and easy-to-wear as well. In fact, Karan Johar has tried to create designs that go with modern Indian as well as Indo-western outfits because he wants to break the common belief that “jewellery is for special occasions”.
“I think jewellery adds to your personality and it all depends on how you are carrying it. On a regular day, when you wear a small set of jewellery, it could look heavy on you because you are carrying it in a wrong way. On the other hand, you can wear a heavy set on an occasion and still can look underdressed because of your personality,” said Karan.
Adding further to the idea behind creating everyday polka collection, he said:
“You see, whenever we say polki, we think about traditional jewellery, but what we don’t understand is there are many forms of polki that can perfectly go well even with a black dress or an office wear. So basically, we have given a modern twist to the traditional polki design at Tyaani.com.”
Tyaani.com is the pret collection of jewellery launched by renowned jewellers Satyani Fine Jewels. A flagship store of the brand was opened in Mumbai on October 4, 2017, which was inaugurated by Karan Johar’s close friend Neha Dhupia. The actress too wore jewellery pieces from Tyaani at the occasion and looked every bit gorgeous in it.
The price range of Tyaani jewellery pieces begins at Rs. 10,000 and goes up to Rs. 99,000. Check out a few more exquisite creations from the collection:
