The FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week for October 2022 wrapped up after 5 glorious days. The show was scheduled from 12 to 16 October 2022 at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai and had everyone’s eyes glued to it! This annual fashion show is one of the most sought after shows for latest designs and trendsetting looks. The show was packed with various designer showcasing their phenomenal collection and we cannot get over some of these gorgeous designer wear. There were some amazing designs and highly offbeat collections that had a beautiful storyline and theme to them!

Day 1 Of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week
INIFD Presents GenNext
INIFD’s GenNext showcase celebrated a line of new up-and-coming designers on day 1 of Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI. The five-brand showcase presented the latest designs by Aseem Kapoor, Somya Goyal, Stoiqur, Til, and Re- on the runway.
FDCI Men’s Edit – Countrymade, SNOB, Khanijo
Countrymade’s collection ‘Homecoming’ depicted the longing for the return of a friend, a soldier. The collection takes cues from battlefield of emotions and translates the same into visually statement prints and embroideries.
SNOB – Son of A Noble collection is all about the war within. It showcases fighting the challenges and differences that many of us face in our inner life.
Khanijo’s collection tells its tale from the stale. It is a collection that is artfully assembled in a juxtaposition of patterns, materials, colors and textures that talk in a globally engaging dialect.
INIFD Launchpad
Actress Gauahar Khan turned showstopper for INIFD Launchpad at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week.
Mishru and Not So Serious By Pallavi Mohan
Mishru’s collection ‘Form & Feeling’, depicts how the classic feminine meets tailored strength. It is all about the natural organic patterns are distorted, scaled and stylised to evoke a sense of surreal fantasy. Mrunal Thakur was Mishru’s showstopper; she slayed and how!
While Not So Serious By Pallavi Mohan’s collection is an ode to this feisty force of friendship, its vibrancy, and energy, keeping you up, keeping you up and right on your toes. Diana Penty turned into a stunning showstopper for the designer.
Shantnu & Nikhil
Kriti Sanon walked as a showstopper for the designer-duo Shantnu & Nikhil and she looked surreal! The collection ‘Capelle’ revisits the opulence that was served by the Baroque Era and its majestic artifact: The Chandelier. The colors used this season are off-white, mint-gold, and charcoal, all an ode to the interiors of a Baroque palace. Each piece from the collection has a story to tell, an eye to catch and most importantly, an art to define.
Day 2 Highlights Of Lakme Fashion Week 2022
Swatti Kapoor
Singer Kanika Kapoor turned muse for designer Swatti Kapoor’s collection. It is inspired by the pomegranate, which is depicted in mythological paintings as an attribute of the Greek Goddess of love, Venus.
Anju Modi
Designer Anju Modi filled the ramp with amazing regal vibes with her collection. Actress Sanjana Sanghi was her showstopper, and we couldn’t take our eyes off the gorgeous outfit by the designer. The collection is known for the revolutionary philosophy of reviving traditional crafts, creating timeless, organic, and handcrafted silhouettes. The collection flaunts a vibrant colour palette, comprising deep yellows, garnet red, delicate ivories, royal pink and blues.

Day 3 LFW 2022 Was A Starry Affair
Eshaa Amiin, Guapa And Limerick By Abirr N’ Nanki
Designers Eshaa Amiin, Guapa And Limerick By Abirr N’ Nanki started the day 3 of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 2022. Eshaa Amiin’s collection Afro – Rhapsody was a burst of vibrant colours & bold prints with fine craftsmanship in dresses, Pants, Co-ord sets and drape styles silhouettes. Actress Chitrangadha turned showstoppers for the designer and looked edgy in the off-beat style.
Guapa’s collection P.O.N.D.I is the designer’s love letter to Pondicherry. Packed with vibrant floral prints combined with, easy breezy silhouettes and sustainable breathable fabrics, it will transport you to your favorite beach town. Rhea Chakraborty walked as the showstopper for the designer.
While Malaika Arora slayed like a diva and set the ramp on fire as she walked for Limerick by Abirr n’ Nanki’s collection, ‘Artopia’. The collection draws inspiration from the miniature paintings from our country’s vast reserves of artistic opulence. It pays homage to the spirit of creation, characterised by delicate motifs, intricate accents, and fine 3-D embroidery.
Abhishek Sharma And Nirmooha
Actress Kalki turned a muse for Abhishek Sharma’s collection ‘Dusk’. The collection is inspired by the exquisite filigree craft of jewellery making. It is a glamorous mix of modernised Indian poise, glass beaded strings and metallic embroidered leaves creating a forest of gold and sun.
While designer label Nirmooha’s collection, ‘Magical Wilderness’ is inspired by the little colonies of tiny livings & vibrant fungi growing in wilderness. The meticulous detailed structure, vibrant colors and its intricate natural patterns form Nirmooha’s core design inspiration. Actor Vijay Varma walked the ramp for the designer.
Logitech x Saaksha Kinni
Actress Sobhita Dulipala walked the ramp for Logitech x Saaksha Kinni to celebrate their collection packed with unites style and technology about geometry, color and mirrors. It was an amalgamation of the idea that anyone, anywhere, can work comfortably, productively and in style!
R | Elan x Gauri And Nainika
Global influencer Masoom Minawala walked the ramp for R | Elan x Gauri And Nainika’s collection. This collection proudly uses the wide variety of sustainable offerings from R|Elan TM’s now sought-after fabric collections. This fabric is well known for its eco-friendly recycled fabrics that are made entirely from waste plastic bottles.

Day 4 Of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week October 2022
Aisha Rao And Varun Nidhika
Tara Sutaria walked the ramp for Aisha Rao and looked mesmerizing! The designer’s collection started with the quest to recreate the beauty of Trencadís, a type of folk art that uses broken tile mosaics put together piece by piece like a jigsaw. It is a celebration of the artistic gifts that crossover between disciplines. One can wear them for a dressy day event and amp it up with jewellery for an after-dark look.
While Genelia slayed as a showstopper muse for Varun Nidhika’s collection. It was about enchanted wilderness of sprouting Palms, intertwined with lattice patterns. Fabrics such as silk organza and metallic knits are enhanced in a palette of gold and black.
Gaurang
Aditi Rao Hydari turned muse for Gaurang and we are totally mesmerized! The collection is a combination of magnificence of handwoven textiles and handcrafted textiles, which will include a distinctive line-up of gorgeous handwoven garments. It includes rich, traditional weaves like Kanjeevaram, Paithan Banaras, Kota, Uppada, Khadi, and Muslin are fused with complex Gara, Kasuti, Aari, Chikan, and Kutch embroidery.
Payal Singhal
Designer Payal Singhal roped in stunning Mouni Roy to be the showstopper and we are loving every bit of it! The collection exudes a feminine edge and a deep embrace of one’s sex appeal. With silhouettes like kalidar shararas and the tie-back cholis, the designer went experimental and deconstructed Indian wear too – pants with tie-up half lehengas, ruffled blouse, hip cut-outs and festive pantsuits.
Anushree Reddy
Sania Mirza walked the ramp for designer Anushree Reddy’s collection. It takes its inspiration from royal travel stories of gilded era royalties, thus marrying age-old craft and cultural notations with modernist elegance and the brand’s charismatic aesthetic.

Ananya Pandey slayed as a muse for Pankaj and Nidhi’s ‘Solaris’ collection. It is all about the buoyant mood and vivid visuals with palette transitioning from shades of sunshine oranges, ambers and yellows to shades of horizon pinks and purples, to dusky teals and greens.
Gaurav Gupta
The ever-so-dapper Sidharth Malhotra walked the ramp for Gaurav Gupta. The collection features meteoric sensibility through crystal burst embroideries, a celestial colour palette and astronomical construction.
Day 5 – Finale Of FDCI x LFW
Nikhita – Mynah Designs, Nikita Mhaisalkar And Sanjukta Dutta
Actress Anushka Ranjan walked for Nikhita – Mynah Designs and looked stunning!
Alaya F turned up the heat as she walked the ramp as a showstopper for Nikita Mhaisalkar.
Actress Bhagyashree made a comeback to the glamlight as she turned muse for designer Sanjukta Dutta.
Nachiket Barve
Huma Qureshi looked surreal as she showcased designer Nachiket Barve’s latest collection. It echoes a sense of vitality, exuberance and lightness that elevates contemporary celebrations and believes firmly in the value of the handmade and handcrafted.
Shyamal & Bhumika
Yami Gautam turned muse for designer-duo Shyamal & Bhumika. Their collection celebrates their globe-trotting muse, using a poetic blend of hand-embroidered masterpieces. It is designed using age-old craft techniques in an unusual mix of colours and silhouettes.
Rina Dhaka
Rina Dhaka’s collection, ‘Urban Tribe’ is inspired by archives, pieces of vintage embroidery and botanical prints. Actress Shamita Shetty walked as a showstopper and showcased the beautiful traditional and modern blend of this collection.
Rajesh Pratap Singh
Actress Mrunal Thakkur walked the ramp for designer Rajesh Pratap Singh. The designer portrayed his unique collection, highlighting his perspective on traditional techniques reinterpreted in a contemporary language.
