Shalaka turned into a beautiful Marathi bride as she decked up for her wedding. Shalaka and Chinmay had a stunning Maharashtrian wedding on 24 December, 2021. This gorgeous couple had an arranged marriage, however, due to the pandemic restrictions, they could meet for over 7 months. Chinmay was settled in Seattle, USA while Shalaka was in Mumbai. They bonded over calls and messages for all these months until they finally met.

After their first meeting, it was an instant click for them and Shalaka tells us “The moment I saw him, I knew I found the man of my dreams”. Isn’t that just too cute?

A Classic Haldi Yellow Saree For This Stunning Maharashtrian Bride

Shalaka dolled up in a stunning pale yellow silk saree for the pre-wedding rituals. We love her minimalistic makeup and her off-beat choice of blouse that she styled with her saree. Shalaka styled her look with a simple messy braid with fresh flowers and shell embellishments.

Chinmay decided to color coordinate with his stunning bride-to-be. He wore a simple silk kurta in yellow and embellished it with a pearl neckpiece. Chinmay wore a fur cap which is known as a Kolhapuri Topi and is considered very auspicious in the Marathi tradition.

Nothing beats the gorgeous traditional bridal look, isn’t it? We are bowled over the beautiful Maharashtrian bridal look. Shalaka wore a pink and yellow Paithani silk saree which is a traditional Maharashtrian specialty. And she added a stunning velvet ‘shalu’ (shawl) to her ensemble and looked no less than a diva! And the Mundavalya (pearl strings) across their foreheads have our heart!

A Touch Of Modernness To This Maharashtrian Bride

Taking a break from the traditional outfits, Shalaka picked a gorgeous peach color gown for her sangeet and engagement! She truly looked like royalty and carried the gown beautifully. And to complement her fabulous gown, Chinmay opted for a stunning black tuxedo suit and looked dapper!

This couple danced their hearts out and thoroughly had a gala time at their sangeet and these pictures are proof!

For the wedding ceremony, Shalaka and Chinmya went all traditional! Shalaka wore a 9-yards Nav-Vari Peshwai Paithani and looked absolutely stunning. With authentic Maharashtrian nath and jewellery, she gave us bridal goals to look up to. Whereas, Chinmay too wore a traditional dhoti and kurta.
