Alia and Ranbir’s wedding buzz has surely not died down. Alia Bhatt tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor on 14 April, 2022 in an intimate wedding at their home in Vastu Building in Mumbai. Alia and Ranbir opted to ditch the colorful hues and opted for classic ivory and gold combinations. Both their wedding outfits are by the ace designer Sabyasachi, who color coordinated the couple to look nothing less than royalty. Alia opted for the regal ivory shade with intricate golden embroidery all across the hand-dyed organza saree. While Ranbir wore a custom-made Sabyasachi embroidered silk sherwani that was studded with signature uncut diamonds. He added a traditional white organza safa that had the finishing touches of a zari-marori embroidered shawl.

We don’t think we are going to get over Alia’s choice of going with bare minimum makeup along with an ‘open hair’ hairstyle for her wedding. Alia Bhatt opted to go basic as she toned down the bridal ensemble with minimum Chooda. She stacked a few red Chooda bangles with her kada bangles from the Sabyasachi’s Heritage Jewellery. We love how she kept her minimalistic fashion intact even when it came to traditional Chooda.

The sheer veil that Alia Bhatt paired with her stunning saree stole our heart! The Sabyasachi designed tissue veil featured detailed tilla embroidery work and hand-woven artistry with a scalloped border.
The embroidery on the veil had the 8 / infinity symbol (∞) which holds much significance to the couple. When held horizontally, it looks like an infinity symbol (∞), while vertical looks like Ranbir Kapoor’s jersey number ‘8’.
