We at ShaadiWish, are always on the lookout for offbeat weddings and trends. And this unique same-sex wedding of Sarika Modi and Gera Ruth caught our attention. Sarika and Gera’s love story is all kinds of beautiful and unique. They honored their love above all and had a majestic wedding ceremony. Their intimate wedding ceremony was held at a Potter’s Craft Cider club in Virginia. And the outdoor wedding was every bit magical.

1. Wedding Looks
Both Sarika and Gera honored their respective wedding traditions by donning red and white outfits. Sarika being a Hindu wore a red-colored outfit for the wedding, however, gave it her own twist by opting for a jumpsuit instead of a lehenga or a saree. Whereas Gera wore a gorgeous white gown with a veil. What was even more beautiful was that both the brides had applied mehendi, as well as, worn bangles.

2. Unique Same-Sex Wedding
The wedding had a lot of unique elements and the mandap/altar was our favorite. Instead of the traditional hawan kund, they lit up unity candles and took 4 pheras around it. They also included the varmala ceremony i.e. garlands in their interracial wedding. And they both wore a mangalsutra. We can’t help but adore them.

3. Fun Reception Ceremony
The couple followed their wedding with a reception ceremony. All their guests had their masks on and they followed all the safety precautions. The couple took our hearts away with their unique wedding and beautiful gestures for one another. After all, LOVE IS LOVE.🏳🌈
