After first-ever digital India Couture Week, it was Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive collection which stunned us for all the right reasons. The 5 day virtual show has just concluded leaving behind tons of latest fashion trends to steal and slay for the upcoming winter/festive season. The event took place from 21st October to 25th October and we are totally swooning over the gorgeous showstoppers in the edgiest and sophisticated creations by the best designers of the industry.

1. Aisha Rao’s Pastiche Collection At Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2020
Aisha Rao’s Pastiche collection is an ode to Melbourne born artist Criss Canning’s still life that depict Australia’s rich flora such as Banksias, gumnuts, oriental poppies, tamarillos, persimmons and Madonna lilies in bold colours juxtaposed to perfection. The gorgeous Athiya Shetty turned showstopper for the designer and looked every bit mesmerizing in a floral patchwork lehenga in bold hues of purple, maroon and pink.

Giving a little twist to his usual metallic designs, ace designer Amit Aggarwal’s latest collection at Lake Fashion Week Winter/Festive is inspired by timeless nebulae and newborn stars. An ode to the traditional basket weave, this collection showcases a blend of organic Indian Chanderi and Matka silk. Our favorite from his collection are these silk stripe lehengas paired with silk organza dupatta with hand-woven and embroidered temple motif borders done with metallic polymer details.

Bringing alive a perfect balance of contemporary glamour and traditional opulence is this designer’s latest “Threads of Love” collection. Playing around with different shades of pink from dainty to fuchsia pinks, Jade by MK’s winter festive collection 2020 comes with intricate detailing and richly crafted raw silk lehengas.
6. Manish Malhotra’s Collection At Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2020
Manish Malhotra’s latest festive collection is a tribute to the diverse heritage of Indian craftsmen but also depicts the story of people, their beliefs, and their sentiments. His Ruhaniyat collection comes with exquisite chikankari outfits supporting the women Chikankari artists from the Mijwan Welfare Society.

Ridhi Mehra brings an interplay with rich fabrics like chiffon and organza through her latest festive wear collection. Her fuchsia printed collection with ruffled dupatta and embellished belts became the highlight at Lakme Fashion Week 2020.

Sukriti and Aakriti celebrates the renaissance of an age old craft of *Phulkari* with a bohemian and modern spin through their “Neo-Phulkari” collection. Radhika Madan and Aparshakti Khurana became the showstoppers for the designer duo and looked absolutely glamorous in vibrant and timeless outfits.
