Getting married to your high school sweetheart is a wonderful thing. Why? Because you know that person inside-out. You’ve seen them in their happiest moments and been there during the rainy days as well. You know about their likes and dislikes, their dreams and desires. Since you grow up with them, no major sacrifices or adjustments are required when you start living together. Such a relationship is honest and pure with nothing to hide.
Samiksha and Vinayak are two lucky people who found each other in their college days. Our Punjabi girl met a Marathi boy at Amity University, Noida. The couple started young and ended up giving us one of our absolute favourite love stories. Their nuptial festivities were immortalized by Vintage Films in the form of an exquisite wedding album. How they met, fell in love and took the vow of being there for each other till the end is a beautiful story that you must read.
Romancing In The Classes
We have all grown up watching movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Main Hoon Na and gushing over the idea of college romance. Well, that didn’t happen to the most of us. However, there are some lucky ones, like Samiksha and Vinayak, who got to live a Bollywood romance in real life.
Vinayak and Samiksha met when they were studying at Amity University. For Vinayak, it was love at first sight. After a while, even Samiksha fell for this Marathi mulga. They were together for four years before they decided to become husband and wife. Their courtship wasn’t an ordinary one. After two years of college and being together with Samiksha, Vinayak left for Bahrain. While most relationships don’t survive such a huge geographical difference, their chemistry was undeterred by it. They maintained their relationship for another two years and then decided that it was time to let their parents know about them.
Their parents were more than happy to give this couple a green signal and their wedding date was set.

The Big Fat Indian Wedding
Staying true to the word, Vinayak and Samiksha’s wedding was grand and fat in every positive way. The celebrations hit off with the engagement. For the special day, our Punjabi kudi wore a Marathi silk saree, designed by Jyoti Bajaj. The event took place at Pinewood Resorts. Their photographers Vintage Films captured every smile that made the ceremony beautiful.
In bride’s own words,
“I am a proper Punjabi girl and wearing a silk saree was a new but a wonderful experience for me. I was very nervous by the time I reached the venue. Our photographers Vintage Films made sure that I lose that tension before I walk towards Vinayak. I don’t know how they did it but they managed to score so many amazing photographs in which you cannot even see a speck of nervousness.”
Sangeet was followed by cocktail and mehendi. Samiksha’s yellow and pink outfit was the showstopper. In her floral jewellery, she flaunted her mehendi for the Vintage Films to capture. You can see every ounce of that vibrant colour in the wedding photographs.
Finally, the D-day for this lovely came and what a beautiful wedding it was! In her cream and orange lehenga, from Pooja Sarees in Ambala, Samiksha looked radiant. We cannot stop gushing about her matha patti which was designed for her by Raabta. She was all smiles and Vintage Films captured every blush beautifully.
Vinayak looked dapper in a sherwani from Study by Janak. Sukhmani Resorts hosted the wedding and the place looked stunning.
The happy couple gushed,
“We have known each other for a very long time and we wanted a photographer who could capture the love that we have for each other. The Vintage Films did a phenomenal job. Our wedding album is a mix of some pretty poses, genuine smiles and a lot of candid moments. We couldn’t have found a better photographer.”
