We found a hidden gem, a distinguishable alley, called the “Garam Gali”. Ranging from bright coloured bangles to glittering earrings, solid golden Kaleeras & bridal Chudas, you’ll find these tiny little elements surrounding you. On top of the vast collection to choose as per your style, you’ll also be enamoured with the price range.
You’ll find bindis, elaborate tassels, Chandelier earrings, Gota bangles, traditional Chunris, necklaces, mehendi, colourful pouches, fabric borders, Saafa cloths and similar products in this one long lane. This is a paradise for the ultimate bridal shopping.
The vendors set their shops everyday at 10 am to start catering to the overtly enthusiastic audience. Most of them have been here for decades even and are known for their speciality.
Some popular names that stand out are Laljee’s Creations, Bhavani Store, Chopra Laces & New Bajaj Fancy Store. These are lined closely together and it’s tough to choose one place to finally purchase from. You can find bangles starting at Rs.15 and going up to Rs.3000 here in a myriad of materials and hues. We were totally mesmerized by the collection of bangles. There isn’t any fixed price so feel free to scout around and the pick something that suits your needs and budgets.
Besides Garam Gali, one shop that also stood out is “Babu Churi Wala”. Mr.Babu’s father is also famous for having designed the wedding bangles for the superstar, Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta and many more such celebrities.
While you are at your most efficient self, trying to bargain and get a good deal, don’t forget to have the nimbu buntas and the chaats & pakoda available around and keep yourself pumped up to gather all the shaadi knickknacks.
