Celebrated young Couturier Abhinav Mishra is set to unveil his latest collection in time for the festive season. The exclusive runway showcase and presentation, titled ‘The Man in the Mirror,’ promises to be a spectacular celebration of weddings and festivals. This deeply personal showcase marks a significant moment in Mishra’s journey, reflecting on his growth as a designer and his commitment to reviving forgotten arts and cultural traditions, specifically the craft of mirror-work.
The new collection showcases a special segment, ‘Kalbeliya,’ draws inspiration from the folk dance of the same name, originating in Rajasthan. In true Mishra fashion, this collection honors the Kalbeliya tribe’s vibrant culture, emphasizing their unique body art and graceful movements. The designs feature nomadic motifs and a palette of colors never before seen in his work, celebrating the essence of this rich heritage.
‘Kalbeliya’ is divided into three distinct moods, incorporating colors like black and ivory alongside unique combinations found in traditional Rajasthani attire. Each ensemble is meticulously handcrafted, adorned with floral motifs, intricate geometric patterns, and detailed embroideries using dori, pearls, sequins, beads, and Mishra’s signature mirrors. Luxurious fabrics, including lush silks, soft wool, and sheer materials, ensure a natural flow and elegant charm, perfect for the upcoming festive season.
The collection exudes opulence, featuring silhouettes that range from traditional lehengas and anarkalis to embellished kaftans. The blouses are heavily embroidered, with styles ranging from deep plunging necklines to chic short kurtas. The kaftans boast a modern flair, ensuring there is something for every wedding function and celebration.
The showcase also focussed on Abhinav Mishra’s classic bridal-wear featuring a motley of colors showcasing Abhinav’s unique craftsmanship and undying love for the craft of mirror-work across menswear and womenswear.

Featuring a custom round stage at its center, the venue resembles a modern oasis inspired by the Kalbelia tribe. Enclosed by white camp tents adorned with shimmering gold tassels, the setting exudes understated opulence. Projections of galloping horses against sunset and moonlit backdrops infuse the space with life, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity that complements the vibrant maximalist fashion.”
