Everything About Getting Married In Space 1,00,000 Feet Above The Earth
A company known as Space Perspective has come up with this dream-like idea that enables couples to have a special and unique wedding. The company aims to help couples make their big day even more special by sending them into orbit in a carbon-neutral balloon equipped with enormous windows for the best possible view of the Earth.
The company has designed your journey to be an exhilarating and celebratory experience. It comes with ample time for quiet contemplation. Astronauts refer to the impact of seeing Earth from space as a paradigm shift that gives you a whole new perspective. So, with unforgettable six hours, you will ascend to the edge of space and join the lucky few – only about 600 people, who have looked down at our home from above,” the company says.
The Spaceship Neptune flight lasts six hours and can lift guests around 1,00,000 feet above the Earth and then back down again. It plans to launch in 2024 and has already sold 1,000 tickets. But it will cost a whopping Rs 1 crore per person.
How Does The Spaceship Neptune Work?
The company’s Space Balloon launches the spaceship ‘Neptune’ into orbit. It is then propelled by renewable hydrogen without the use of rockets or the resulting carbon footprint.
Is The Spaceship Neptune Safe?
Jane Poynter, the Co-Founder of Space Perspective, said that the waiting list to get married amongst the stars is already “light-years long”. “We’ve already had people wanting to be the first marriage in space, so we’ll see who is the first,” she told.
