The FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week for March 2023 wrapped up after 4 glorious days. The show was scheduled from 9 to 12 March, 2023 at the Jio World Garden in Mumbai. It is one of the biggest and most prestigious fashion events that takes place twice a year in India.It in fact, is the most sought after shows for latest designs and trendsetting looks. INIFD Winners
The FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week March 2023 kickstarted with INIFD presents Gennext 2023 Winners KoAi, Hiro, KoyToy, and Rudraksh Dwivedi.
KoAi’s latest collection titled, ‘Coalescence’ is inspired by Coppice. With unique prints and amalgamation of drapes and pleats, the collection was made using cotton silk, mushroom twill, poplin cotton, and chiffon.
Hiro’s collection is called the ‘Dystopian Bride’ and it draws inspiration from a post-apocalyptic world. Made with techniques like ruching and smocking, the collection had tie dye and stone washing dyeing techniques too.
KoyToy’s collection ‘A Maharaja-in-waiting’ depicts a dual life. The prints include motifs depicting freshwater pearls, glittery jewel boxes, and original miniature paintings.
Inspired by eco-brutalism, Rudraksh Dwivedi’s collection has signature chrome line work along with black layered tulle and crochet mesh to create a mix of paradoxical elements.

The day 2 of FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week March 2023 witnessed Line Outline By Deepit Chugh, Sameer Madan, Tisastudio.
Actor Shantanu Maheshwari walked the ramp for Line outline by Deepit Chugh. The collection draws inspiration from the beauty of Streamline Moderne and the disruption it caused then in the world of architecture and fashion. It brings life to the look with solid tailoring, playful proportions and functional modularity.
Sameer Madan ‘Untamed’ is a collection which exudes a mix of fantasy, mystery, glitzy and bold. It captures the pomp of ’80s and 90’s cultural references. Social Media Influencer Niharika NM walked the ramp as a showstopper.
Tisastudio’s Spring Summer’23 collection showcased minimalist art utilizing geometric and abstract forms found in Islamic architecture. Actor Gurfateh Singh Pirzada walked the ramp and ruled it!

Sanya Malhotra slayed the ramp as she walked for Flirtatious by Akriti. The collection is vaguely inspired by the show ‘The White Lotus’. With colorful abstract artwork, lemons and beach umbrellas, the collection is just as the name suggests.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra For Limerick By Abirr n’ Nanki
Limerick by Abirr n’ Nanki’s collection titled ‘Song of the Valley’ celebrates the artistic expertise and the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. With vibrant color shades, bold artworks, and paisley motifs, the collection is worth checking out. Shilpa Shetty Kundra walked the ramp and slayed like a pro!
Itrh Had Some Stunning Showstoppers!
With showstoppers like Sonakshi Sinha, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Anshula Kapoor and Antara Marwa, Itrh left us stunned! The collection ‘Dancing Queen’ showcases a resurgence of maximalism. Making a bold statement, the designers revisit Swarovski and crystal element studded textiles giving them a sheerer facade and a pastel overtone to layer with their classic silvers and gold.
Lakmé Sheer Drama X Tarun Tahiliani Luxe Pret
Sobhita Dhulipala burnt the ramp floor as she turned muse for Tarun Tahiliani. The designer’s spring/summer collection is an ode to ‘The Drape Suspended In Time’. With intricate details, fluid drapes & exquisitely crafted textiles, the collection had some spectacular range worth checking out!

Day 3 Of Designers Showcasing At Lakme Fashion Week
Day 3 Started With Eshaa Amiin, Jajaabor, Shahin Mannan
Eshaa Amiin’s collection ‘Lyricals Of An Escapist’ shows how the emergence of fresh creativity can transcend and erode distinctions between real and virtual, ancient and futuristic worlds respectively. Actress Kalki Koechlin walked as a showstopper while Social Media Influencer Ankush Bahuguna too turned model for the designer.
Jajaabor’s collection narrates two aspects of Indonesia- One, Indonesia’s national motto ‘Bhinekka Tunggal Ika’ (Unity In Diversity) and two, the untouched marine biosphere of Nusa Tenggara. The showcase takes an effort to unfold these two stories using colors, textures and prints inspired from Indonesia- also known as the ‘Island of Gods’. Sayani Gupta was the showstopper for the designer.
Making her ramp comeback was yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman for Shahin Mannan. The collection ‘Circle’ celebrates the infinite possibilities of fashion, inspired by the timeless and powerful symbol of the circle.
