The fashion week is done and dusted, and here are all the upcoming wedding trends from ICW 2021 that we can’t get enough of. The Fashion Design Council of India scheduled the second digital edition of the Indian Couture Week 2021 in the third week of August. And we got to witness the genius and glamour of the most renowned designers of India. Each designer presented their couture collection and some even showcased their designs featuring gorgeous Bollywood actresses. There were definitely some looks that stood out and left us awestruck!

1. Groom Fashion Was On Another Level

The fashionista Sonam Kapoor graced Kunal Rawal’s ‘Vision Quest’ collection in a dhoti-kurta set with a sherwani jacket. The collection focused on bringing the deep-rooted traditional wear to modern-day luxury concepts.

‘Oasis’ by the iconic duo Shantanu & Nikhil was no exception when it came to exuding grandeur and royalty. The series primarily consists of menswear with military-inspired short bandhgalas and cowl trousers.

Gaurav Gupta’s menswear collection was bold and sexy with sharp metallic accents. While Anamika Khanna also displayed free and stylish kurta designs for men.

2. Red & Pinks Are Definitely The Upcoming Wedding Trends

Falguni Shane Peacock India’s collection titled ‘Love Is’ was inspired by the beauty of the Taj Mahal. The shoot also ended up making Falguni Shane the first and only designer in the world to showcase their collection in the precincts of the breathtaking Taj Mahal. The very talented Shraddha Kapoor donned a bespoke FSP lehenga and looked stunning as ever.

Shantanu & Nikhil’s womenswear had an interesting twist with the designers blurring the line between ball gowns and lehengas. It gives the collection a wider horizon. While Varun Bahl simplified the cuts and designs with a refreshing lightness so that the haute couture is wearable more often.

Suneet Varma’s wedding collection ‘Noor’ was dominated by shades of Ruby, Sindoor, and Sienna Reds. The lavish embroidery of gold thread work and silver zardozi gave it a modern twist. And Rahul Mishra’s floral work gave us gardenia vibes. While Dolly J Studio’s ‘Ah-lam’ series was inspired by people who defy set patterns and carve their journey. The collection celebrates individuality with beautiful colors.

3. We’re Huge Suckers For Vibrant Tones & Subtle Hues

‘The Eternal Story’ by designer Anju Modi took us back in time with a refreshing vibe. The vibrant silk and Banarasi traditional wear reflected the true Indian heritage.

Couturier Anamika Khanna and Reynu Tandon both displayed garments in off-white and beige shades. The super gorgeous Chitrangda Singh stole the show in a detailed nude Reynu Tandon lehenga. While we spotted a white Anamika Khanna saree with a luxurious pearl veil by Birdhichand Jewelers that was Rhea Kapoor’s wedding attire.

Renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani left no stone unturned in bringing his ‘Artisanal Couture collection to life. His collection showcased sumptuous lehengas, shararas, sarees, kurtas, and more in Pichwai, Chikankari, tulle brocade, organza brocade.
