This designer bride took inspiration from her Mother’s wedding outfit and created an outfit that will leave you stunned. Well, Jasleen and Varinder met in college but it was only when they went to different cities for studies, they realised that they are meant to be together. They got rokafied in Jan 2018 and decided to get married in 2020.
Check Out How Jasleen Took Inspiration From Her Mother’s Wedding Outfit And Looked Jaw-Dropping At Her Wedding –
Jasleen and Varinder wanted to have an intimate wedding from the start. Spending too much and large gatherings was a big NO for both of them. Covid literally was just an excuse to convince their families for the same and cut down on the invitation list.
1. The Bangle Ceremony
Bangle ceremony is actually a tradition in Punjab and happens at the bride’s place usually a month before the wedding. Jasleen designed a Russian wedding gown with organza flowers and also made the headpiece herself. Don’t miss out on her sleeves that made her have all the attention.
2. The Mehendi And Haldi Outfits
Being a water baby, she went for an aqua marine colored lehenga and depicted her love for marine life. She had mermaids, sea horses, conches, sea shells, school of fishes and aquatic plants. Jasleen paired the lehenga with a corset and self-designed silver shell jewellery. Isn’t that just great?
You might have heard brides wearing their mother’s wedding outfit but Jasleen wore her aunt’s wedding day lehenga. It was a dainty piece embroidered with Zardozi and she paired it with an offbeat blouse. She wore a Parandi that she made herself with Michael Kors charms, can you believe it ?
How about these embellished braids setting a new trend.
3. Jasleen’s Wedding Outfit Inspired By Her Mother’s Wedding Outfit
Unlike other brides, Jalseen opted for a Punjabi suit inspired by my mother’s wedding dress. It took 2 months for designing and 4 months for the karigars to complete it . Embroidered with real pearls, turquoise stones and some precious gemstones that she sourced herself from different places.
Tips on how you can create your wedding outfit using your mothers dress.
She thought of depicting “Garden of Eden” from the heaven, symbolising a union of two souls happening in the presence of godly elements like birds, peacocks, flamingos, Trees of Life, lotus ponds, swans, dancing girls, tiara-clad deers, fountains, mountains, sun and much more. One of the most important elements on the suit is the Peace Bird inspired from the art carvings on the walls of Golden Temple.
Jasleen also opted for two dupattas to pair with the suit. One of the dupatta was what her mother wore for her wedding. Another one is a flare dupatta embroidered with an image of Jasleen and her husband sitting in front of Guru Granth Sahib and ready to take pheras.
Not only that but she also extended the same design on Varinder’s sherwani wherein a bird and tree of life are shown.
4. The Intimate Anand Karaj Ceremony
Her brothers planned the whole wedding with a white color theme, paper lanterns to hang in the air and an easy family environment to enjoy the day in the most tranquil setup ever. They also had a Live Band playing at the venue who played old punjabi wedding folk songs with sarangi and flute.
In case you are looking for for weddings.
5. Reception Ceremony
She went with an emerald ball gown that she designed and got made from Himani Arora couture in Amritsar. She was inspired by the personal style of Marilyn Monroe and styled her outfit similarly.
We are truly in awe of this wedding with such detailing to not only decor but outfits too. We advise all our dear brides-to-be to take inspiration from this one. We wish the couple a very happy and blessed married life ahead.
