For all those who’ve been dreading the small weddings and 50 person guest limit, the Delhi government has finally announced the new 200 people guest limit. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has revised the earlier restriction of 50 guests and has granted the relaxation of up to 200 guests for indoor weddings in Delhi. However, if there are still some of you who think 200 guests aren’t enough to have a big fat Indian wedding, then you’d be glad to know that there’s no cap on the number of people when it’s an outdoor wedding.
Here’s a guide to help you plan and host intimate weddings.
All The Details About The New Guest Limit For Indoor Weddings In Delhi-
In closed spaces such as banquet halls or indoor weddings in Delhi, a maximum of 50% capacity is allowed up to 200 people. But if the event takes place in an outdoor setting, there’s no cap on the number of guests. However, the COVID-19 restrictions will still apply. All the food stalls and tables will have to be sanitized before the event commences. And temperatures need to be checked before entering the venue.
Guests will still be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. For indoor weddings in Delhi, the room temperature is required to be between 24-30 degrees celsius. And the event managers are needed to provide disposal bins, hand sanitizers, and handwashing facilities. All health and safety measures need to be put in place. Anyone found disrespecting the COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines will be penalized.
