We were doing what we love the most (shopping) and found #BengalinDelhi! Sounds weird right? But, it is not. We found this exquisite wedding shopping store in Delhi, which gave us all the Bengal feels on the high street of Defence Colony, South Delhi.
Calcutta born designer Pranay Baidya came all the way to Delhi with his India inspired collection “Nawabs of Bengal” and we are absolutely stunned. The Mughal tiles, screens, miniature paintings he discovered during travels across India is what is clearly visible in his latest collection. We love how he has not just focussed on the bride and groom, but everyone who is customarily part of the grand festivities surrounding the big fat Indian wedding.
Let’s take you through this wedding shopping store in Delhi by Pranay Baidya:
We totally adored the Bengali vibe as soon as we entered the store. The wall at the entrance resembled the ancient history.
Check out their artisanal printmaking on the kalidar lehengas, skirts, sarees and menswear which are inspired by mughal miniatures and their exquisite filigree architecture.
They have a raging colour play of brick reds, pistachio greens, peaches, pinks and blues reminiscing the artworks from this bygone era.
They have a variety of fabrics which ranges from hand spun, hand woven chanderi, bengal cotton, linen, muslin silk, pure zari tissue and organza come together to weave an ideal summer occasion wear silhouette.
Pranay Baidya has also launched their jewellery line of intricately carved and enamelled earrings, necklaces and bangles. All pieces are crafted from Bengal brass and gilded in 22 carat gold.
Their jewellery is incredibly lightweight for the contemporary women of today.
Pranay Baidya’s wedding shopping store in Delhi is your go to for trendy clothes and accessories. They have made sure they have got you covered from head to toe. So, not only the groom and bride, Pranay Baidya has outfits and jewellery for your entire family.
