1. Tarun Tahiliani

The start of the event was quite grand with Tarun Tahiliani, opening the Indian Couture Week 2018 and showcasing his latest collection, which was completely different from his usual style. His bridal collection ‘Elysium’ was full of iridescent florals and sparkling Swarovski crystals. Aditi Rao Hydari being the showstopper looked stunning in paneled coral French knot lehenga with a tulle drape and panelled veil. Embellished with padparadscha Swarovski crystals. This is certainly going to be every bride’s dream wedding attire. Their collection was more of golds and off-whites keeping it traditional and majestic with lots of Swarovski at the edges. Their embroidered outfits were, weightless, breezy and extravagant. His collection signals the biggest bridal trend of the coming wedding season as the weightless lehengas have overpowered heavy lehengas.

 2. Anju Modi

Anju Modi’s collection, ‘A Maiden’s Prayer’ showcased the ethereal Victorian era inspired outfits on the opening day of the India Couture Week, 2018. All the outfits created magic at the runway. The collection had outfits made of heavy and rich fabrics like velvet, silk, and brocade. Anju Modi’s collection is the perfect option for winter brides. Kangana Ranaut was her muse for the night and looked quite regal in a beige lehenga with a Victorian style maroon velvet cape and beautiful jewelry by RK Jewellers South Ex 2.

Pallavi Jaikishan recreated the old designs of her work from 25 years back. The recreation collection, titled  ‘Nostalgia’ is perfect for the modern day bride that values heritage. The new age silhouettes are perfect for brides who are looking for vintage collection in a new trend. And, these black semi-sheer sarees with a tint of floral prints look quite retro and an amazing option for the cocktail.

Falguni Shane Peacock’s debut at the ICW 2018 was nothing short of legendary. Their bridal collection, ‘Amour De Junagarh’, has simply stolen our hearts. Kareena Kapoor Khan was the showstopper who dazzled the runway in a gold embellished 30 kg A-line lehenga. We loved the full sleeve blouse and light the feather dupatta over the gold lehenga. She completed her look with statement earrings by Prakshi Fine Jewellery. This collection is for the bold and sexy bride, who is not afraid of plunging necklines and backlines.

5. Suneet Varma

And, we totally loved this beautiful lehenga with net veil which looks so magnificent for a bridesmaids outfit.

6. Shyamal & Bhumika

One of our favorites was the ‘Muse of Mirrors’ collection by Shyamal & Bhumika. Their collection is about eco-friendly matka silks, raw silks, fine crepes, and georgettes; with diaphanous tulle and organza. The Vintage rose gold zari threads and silk threads are intricately embroidered into exaggerated floral and scalloped hems, over layered with sequins, giving a painterly effect and softness to the romance-inspired collection. Ms. Dhoni star, Kiara Advani walked the ramp in mint green lehenga with plunging neckline blouse and net puff sleeves. She completed her look with a choker by RK Jewellers South Ex 2.

‘Maraasim’ collection by Rahul Mishra was inspired by the 17th-century Mughal architecture and this collection included a variety of sarees, lehengas, floor-length jackets, and capes. His collection showcased some amazing outfits for the brides apt for post-wedding occasions. Especially this red suit which is giving a quite regal look.
