The Delhi edition of luxury wedding exhibition, Jalsa Destination Wedding Edit 2018, concluded today at The Ashok Hotel, Chanakyapuri and we are in awe of the grandeur of the event. A brainchild of Timsy Anand, the exhibition showcased best of apparels, jewellery and everything else that a bride would need to create a gorgeous trousseau.
With a large number of exhibitors from all across the country and even across the border, the style and glamour quotient of the show was grander than ever before. Timsy Anand, the organiser of the event elaborated on the highlights of this year’s edition:
“It’s wedding season and of course, everybody wants a new look and a new wardrobe like every year. The show this year has got everything to do with colours and a bit of bling. One of the best things about Jalsa is its affordability. Moreover, 90% of the exhibitors are from outside of Delhi, hence, it brings out the best of fashion from every part of the country.”
Spilling some beans on the key trends that will rock the Indian wedding industry this year, Timsy told us:
“Speaking of the outfits, everybody is going for softer colours, so the pastels are really big this year. And when it comes to jewellery, brides are going for bigger pieces as they wish to create statement through them.”

1. Shrihari Diagems
The spectacular jewellery pieces from Shrihari Diagems were one of the key highlights of the show. Right from handcrafted antique pieces to the awe-inspiring contemporary ones, they had everything to match up every bride’s preferences.

The rich and regal outfits from Kalki Fashion clearly were every bride’s dream come true. With ornate embellishments, deeper hues and the fine embroideries, the label provided every to-be-bride with a gorgeous bridal ensemble.
3. Neha Vaswani Label
The delicate cuts, the beautiful drapes and the intricate embroideries in the outfits by Neha Vaswani Label made them an instant hit among the brides-to-be at the show. The soft and unconventional hues and the new-age features like tassels, ruffles, frills etc. wooed every modern bride who doesn’t like anything conventional.
4. Golecha Jewels
The big bold pieces at the Golecha Jewels became the perfect picks for the brides who aspire to make a royal statement at their D-day. Gold, diamond, pearl, precious stones- they had everything that a bride can ask for!
5. Kaeros
Every bridesmaid needs one chic clutch to complete her look for her BFF’s wedding. The contemporary clutches handcrafted with fine leather gave them the best solution.
6. TAD by Ameesha Dalmia
The bold and beautiful jewellery at TAD by Ameesha Dalmia’s booth attracted the crowd with its sassiness. We could everything right from the traditional and timeless designs to the exotic and modern style at the booth.
7. Kovet
This label came up with a gorgeous western wear and fusion wear. For the brides seeking the perfect outfit for their bachelorette and cocktail, Kovet turned out to be the apt solution.
8. Label Mraar
It was glitz and glamour overload at Label Mraar’s booth and we loved every bit of their collection. Delicate and graceful are the two words that rightly define this brand. The lacy details of their gowns sure were among the best in the entire show.
9. Illustris Jewellery
The bling at Illustris Jewellery’s booth outshined every stall at the exhibition. The breathtaking jewels by the brand had not only put up a good show, but they also made sure that every gorgeous diva who visited them left with happiness on her face.
10. Rasberrie
Undoubtedly, Jalsa covered every aspect of shopping that needs to be done when there’s a wedding in the house. The luxury home collection by Rasberrie was a refreshing variety to be seen at the show and it would make a wonderful addition to a newlywed couple’s home.
