When the bride and the groom come from different cultures, the wedding is bound to be sprinkled with the most unexpected elements.
Here is a #RealShaadi you are going to love, an enchanting cultural cocktail. Neha, a British Marwari girl married her beau Kunal who is a half Parsi-Bengali South Bombay boy, in an intimate ceremony at Iskcon Temple, Mumbai.
A wedding photographer by profession who herself believes in weaving an alluring love story in every wedding she covers, Neha personally ensured that her own wedding was nothing less than a fairy tale one.
The story of how they met reminds us of movies. Kunal was one of the most popular Guitar teachers in Mumbai and Neha was taking lessons from him. The guitar lessons soon turned into coffee dates and they realized that they could be singing tunes together for the rest of their lives. In Neha’s words. “Kunal and I are more perfect for each other than ice cream and chocolate sauce!”
Kunal proposed to Neha at the end of a mystery Clue Hunt game and what followed was a period of innumerable surprises, coffee dates, and crazy laughing fits. Even though Neha was traveling for a month-long photography expedition to Antarctica just before the wedding, Kunal wrote to her every day and somehow managed to surprise her with tiny things. Neha couldn’t help but started transforming into a starstruck #bridetobe who was hopelessly in love, quite different from her usual adventurous self.
Their wedding was just as magical as it was personalised with a bunch of incredible ideas. Right from the hand made origami elephants for the sangeet decor, a selfie booth at the wedding, a planned photo scavenger hunt, multiple boards, and card games, cutesy bottles for guests to write messages, the austere temple wedding, to the groom singing a funny self-composed song for his beloved wife-to-be and of course the travel-themed Reception. There were elements that just made this occasion extra special.
Neha and Kunal’s intimate Parsi Madavsoro (tree planting) ceremony and a Bengali style wedding ceremony were amazingly captured by the Ramit Batra Photography.

Here are the glimpses of Neha & Kunal’s Beautiful ISKCON Temple Wedding:

The reception was held at Aqaba and shot wonderfully by Shah Photos and the decor was beautifully created by the talented Gaurav Seksaria. The theme was travel and you’ll find that besides the decor elements, even the cake was inspired by this.

The gold foiled world map and their love for elephants is exemplified in this wedding cake.

Aw, this was an extremely nice post. Spending some time and actual effort to create a superb article… but what
can I say… I hesitate a lot and don’t manage to get anything done.
