If you are getting married at –

1. A Royal Heritage Property

If you’ve picked out an old palace in Rajasthan brimming with architecture from the olden era merged with contemporary settings, you need to select deeper tones of red matched with zardosi and bronze work for the bridal lehenga, in sync with the groom’s beige jacquard sherwani. It’s also the ideal place for you to experiment with hues of fuchsia pinks, parrot greens and pineapple to go with the earthy tones of the property.

2. A Beach-Side.

Taking your vows by the ocean? Preferably, pick a time when the weather is slightly breezy yet the sun is up there. Keeping this in mind, it’s extremely crucial to pick the right fabric to be able to sustain yourself while you are out there in the open, at the same time keeping it dressy. Sheer nets with embroidery in white gold on lavenders, peaches and pastel pinks is the combination you should pick. As for the grooms, a lightweight cotton silk blend ivory printed sherwani should do the magic.

3. A Luxury Hotel Abroad!

If you are getting married at an exclusive seven star resort or hotel in Vienna or Dubai, you’ve got to play it up and adorn yourself with sheen and shimmer to resonate with the theme and the glitz of plush and proper interiors. Opt for illuminating embroideries on English colors like blush, midnight blue, caramels in voluminous silhouettes and sparkling with white gold jewels while the dapper men should walk around in a smart tuxedo and patent leather shoes.

4. A City Wedding In The Open!

Be it a day event or a night event, if you’re getting married at a large farm in Delhi or in the lawns of a hotel, you can pretty much wear any color. From blues to reds and ivories, step out of your comfort zone to experiment with a color because in an open space the colors tend to actually appear the same. For a day function, light oranges, reds and mustard will work beautifully, whereas for a night wedding you can pick darker reds, crimsons, cranberry, navy blues and emeralds.

5. Celebrations In The Hills

You’ve picked a place amidst the clouds, in higher altitudes where it tends to get a bit chilly once in awhile. Sticking to a heavy embroidered, traditional silk or gharchola style saree can work wonderfully. It’s offbeat and yet lets you get rid of that extra dupatta and volume which doesn’t suit the terrains too much. The groom can also pick a sherwani or a bandhgala that is easy to handle or even stick to a heavy kurta pyjama set.

6. An Enclosed Banquet Hall In Town!

If you’ve selected a typical banquet hall in the town or city, you are aware of what the wedding is going to look like. A larger gathering, fanciful decor and lot of lighting. It’s important to wear something that doesn’t fall dull. Bright golds, reds and corals work ecstatically well, while binging on even colored gemstones and sparkling gold jewels can work well. Since, the colors of the outfit stand out, it’s best for the groom to pick a polished gold sherwani and red safa to compliment his bride.

7. An Intimate Wedding At The Temple/Gurudwara

Go bright, wear something that your heart truly desires. A heavy lehenga with an enormous cancan may not be feasible, nor will something that has a deep neck or back. Pick vibrant hues like orange, pink, carrot red or even a turquoise for this event, with limited decor, there is a greater chance that you’ll be in the spotlight and thus coordinating your outfit is a marvellous idea. Simply, match the turban color to the color of your lehenga for goodness in photographs.
